Responsibilities
- Be a Team Member: Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and is flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrates knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares meat products according to established standards; cuts boneless meat products; maintains product quality standards.
- Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to support production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Maintains operational excellence; keeps work area clean and in accordance with company policies; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocates for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in meat and modeling high-quality service and products; demonstrates energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Complies with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by following applicable policies and procedures.
- Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress and information; looks for opportunities to improve and adapts to change.
