What you'll do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products according to established standards; maintain product quality standards.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Ensure operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures; maintain quality and date control standards for meat products; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area and modeling high quality service and products; execute basics at highest possible level of quality; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; apply these in executing business processes and practices.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt and learn from change, difficulties, feedback.
