Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to join its fast-paced store environment. You will handle meat receiving, prepping and grinding, while maintaining product knowledge and freshness. Provide outstanding service, answer questions, and support customers with special orders.

You will also follow safety and sanitation guidelines, assist with stocking and rotation, and help customers locate products while promoting ongoing promotions and store programs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable with basic math, weights and measures.
• Outgoing, friendly with customers and able to interact well.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication and team engagement.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation rules in the Meat Department.
• Stand for up to 8 hours per shift and lift 25–90 lbs as needed.
• Operate pallet jack and move equipment when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in the meat department.
• Receive, store, grind meats and rotate inventory to prevent aging.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders and needs.
• Follow Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs and departmental procedures.
• Guide customers to product locations and support weekly ad items.
