Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment. You will handle meat receiving, storage, grinding, and preparation while upholding strict safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent; basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior; positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and maintain clean work areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously and up to 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles per 8 hours.
• Able to work inside a temperature-controlled area and clean/sanitize work areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Practice safe food handling procedures.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries.
• Count and weigh incoming articles; compare against invoices.
• Examine meats in storage and rotate to avoid aging.
• Assist customers with questions, orders, and special requests.
• Refer to weekly ad items and guide customers to product locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow the department's protocols.
