Job Summary

Job Title: Meat Clerk

Reports To: Meat Manager

The Meat Clerk maintains stock levels within the Meat Department's sales floor by replenishing products as needed. They provide exceptional service to all guests both behind the service counter and on the sales floor, embodying the boomerang theory.

External Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist guests in finding items on or off the sales floor
• Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests
• Provide excellent guest service by professionally answering department calls and assisting on the sales floor
• Support team members and contribute positively to the Meat Department's culture
• Address guest concerns and resolve issues using the boomerang principle
• Ensure quality control by inspecting, rotating, maintaining proper temperatures, and replenishing meat products on display
• Maintain proper inventory levels in the Meat Department (containers, wraps, tags, etc.)
• Keep food safety logs and follow proper procedures to lead by example
• Meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm
• Attend work as scheduled and provide adequate notice for absences
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

WORK SCHEDULE

This position can be part-time or full-time. Shifts vary and include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
