Parkland Health and Hospital System seeks a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide total nursing care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include patient screening, coordinating care flow, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards.

Candidates must hold an LVN license in Texas or a valid Compact license and maintain BLS certification. Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams are essential to deliver patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

Formación

• Must graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing and be licensed as an LVN by the Texas Board of Nursing, or hold a valid Compact LVN license.
• Must have current, valid LVN license or temporary LVN license, or a valid Compact LVN license.
• Must have current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network.

Responsabilidades

• Screens and prioritizes patients to ensure timely treatment per physician orders and policies.
• Assists with inpatient/clinic coordination and patient flow as directed by medical staff.
• Maintains knowledge of nursing regulations and Joint Commission standards to ensure compliant care.
• Identifies educational needs of patients and families and reinforces teaching initiated by the RN/NP.
• May assist in precepting new employees and students as directed by supervision.
