Job summary

Henry Street Settlement is seeking a dedicated leader to oversee the Meals on Wheels program in NYC. The role ensures on-time delivery, manages a diverse delivery team, and maintains high safety and service standards across five boroughs.

The ideal candidate has prior supervisory experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to supporting homebound seniors. The position requires travel, on-site work in Lower East Side, and collaboration with partners and funders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
• Proven ability to lead, supervise, motivate, and hold a diverse team accountable.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with compliance monitoring, audits, or government programs is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required; Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Meals on Wheels program to ensure timely, safe, and accurate meal delivery.
• Supervise, train, schedule, and assess delivery staff and coverage.
• Assign routes and manage coverage plans for callouts and disruptions.
• Monitor records and performance data for timely reporting to stakeholders.
• Maintain readiness for audits and inspections with organized records and documentation.
