Job summary

Wisconsin Counties Association seeks a part-time Nutrition Program Coordinator to oversee local meal sites under the Human Services & Health department. This role coordinates nutrition services, recruits and trains volunteers, and ensures proper food handling and service at multiple sites.

Responsibilities include managing reservations, reporting program issues to the manager, and maintaining records while fostering positive relations with the community and elderly participants.

Qualifications

• Organizational skills required to plan and supervise nutrition site activities.
• Good public relations skills for interactions with participants and partners.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to work well with elderly clients, the public and volunteers.
• Ability to coordinate/manage volunteer program at multiple sites.
• Capability to pass state sanitation certification during probation.

Responsibilities

• Organizes/supervises nutrition program meal sites.
• Organizes/recruits and trains volunteers at site to assist with nutrition program service.
• Organizes home-delivered meal services.
• Ensures proper food storage temperature.
• Serves food to participants with appropriate utensils according to program policies and procedures.
• Supervises/participates in dishwashing and general clean-up activities.
• Maintains adequate program supplies.
• Calls in reservations daily for next days meal.
• Follows-up and reports absenteeism of site and home-delivered participants.
• Prepares and maintains necessary records to meet program requirements.
• Maintains good public relations with community and senior consumers.
• Serves as liaison between agency and nutrition program participants.
• Provides coverage at other county nutrition sites as necessary.
• Regular attendance and punctuality required.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
