Job summary

JE Dunn Construction seeks an M/E Engineer 2 to perform routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities, collect and assemble data, help develop estimates and assist with bid analysis on projects in Dickinson, ND.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of construction/engineering experience, and proficiency with MS Office and M/E estimation tools, with a focus on safety and quality adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related field is required.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 2+ years construction or engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in safety and quality plans and promotes injury‑free environment.
• Performs entry level mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated estimating system.
• Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options for preconstruction.
• Assists in developing M/E scopes of work for bid coordination.
• Contributes to bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Develops sequencing for mechanical/electrical systems to meet schedules.
• Participates in site inspections and constructability reviews.
• Supports commissioning activities and functional testing procedures.
