Z-Radar is recruiting a full-time MDS Support Specialist in New York to conduct MDS assessments, ensure CMS compliance, and leadCAAs under leadership direction. The position emphasizes independence, team collaboration, and robust EMR proficiency in a remote setting.

You will work with PDPM/case-mix reimbursement, Quality Measures, and Five Star programs while communicating clearly with interdisciplinary teams and maintaining high standards. Position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Proficient with PDPM and case-mix reimbursement methodologies.
• Experience with MDS assessments and CMS guidelines.
• Knowledge of Quality Measures and Five Star metrics.
• Familiarity with PCC and Net Health EMR systems; willingness to learn others.

Responsibilities

• Complete MDS assessments including Medicare PPS and OBRA requirements as directed.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of assessments in compliance with CMS guidance.
• Complete CAAs or other care planning requirements as directed by Leadership.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and communicate assessment status to facility team.
• Perform general activities aligned with industry norms for this role.
• Work full-time, at-will employment, with remote service delivery.

Who You Are

Z-radar is looking for a full-time MDS Support Specialist in the state of New York to join our organization! We are looking for someone who can work independently and confidently and is a great team player.

What You'll Do

• Employee shall complete MDS assessments including, Medicare PPS and COBRA required assessments, as directed by the VPs of Clinical Services or other R2 Leadership.
• Employee shall be responsible for accurate and timely completion of assessments, in full compliance with regulations and guidelines set forth by CMS and as instructed by the Resident Assessment Instrument (“RAI”) Manual.
• Employee shall complete comprehensive Care Area Assessments (“CAAs”) or other Care planning requirements, as directed by Leadership.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and effectively communicate the assessment status to Facility team.
• General activities, as agreed, are consistent with industry norms specific to this position.
• Employment is full-time (consistent with acceptable standards at similarly positioned companies) and “at will” per US labor law.
• Services shall be performed remotely.
• Employee will report directly to R2 CEO or CEO-designated individual or governance board.

• Must have experience working with Quality Measures and Five Star.
• Must have good computer skills, be knowledgeable with PCC and Net Health, and be willing to learn new EMR’s.
• RAC-CT preferred.
