Job summary

Good Samaritan in Brainerd, MN is seeking a part-time MDS Nurse to lead nursing staff and oversee Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes. The role involves assessment, planning, and evaluation of resident care, ensuring high quality life quality for residents.

Expect on-site responsibilities with an RN on-call rotation every fourth week. The position requires an RN license, nursing experience with seniors, and coordination across interdisciplinary teams to maintain comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Graduate from NLN or AACN-accredited nursing program preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in state of practice or multistate license.
• CEU/competency training ongoing; affiliation with professional nursing organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate professional and supportive nursing staff in resident care planning.
• Ensure care plans are current and based on RAI assessments.
• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process across all care phases.
• Serve as charge nurse when needed and delegate tasks to licensed/unlicensed staff.
