Job summary

Rancho Seco Care Center seeks an experienced MDS nurse to provide expertise and leadership for organization-wide initiatives in NorCal, Stockton, and Sacramento. The consultant will implement and evaluate the facility’s Quality Measurement and Performance Improvement program to ensure quality resident care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have an active RN license in California.
• At least 3 years RN experience, with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Experience with MDS completion and process.
• RAC Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident assessment processes per state and federal regs.
• Audit MDS completion and supporting docs.
• Review medical records for MDS coding and documentation.
• Interpret regulations and support care-based reimbursement and quality reporting.
• Train MDS Coordinators and guide resident-centered care.
