Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an experienced RN Assessment Coordinator (MDS) in Maryland to lead the development and accuracy of MDS documents within RAI guidelines. You will coordinate with the IDT to ensure timely MDS scheduling and adherence to PDPM and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.

Requirements include MD RN licensure and 3+ years as an MDS Coordinator, with ICD-10 coding experience and strong leadership skills. A competitive salary plus a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure to work in Maryland (Maryland or Compact State).
• 3+ years’ experience as an MDS-Registered Nurse Assessment Coordinator with ICD-10 coding experience.
• Progressive nursing experience in a resident assessment environment.
• Must possess managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient understanding of PDPM and clinical documentation requirements.
• Ability to build positive relationships with an interdisciplinary team.
• Willingness to learn and teach, with adaptability to changes.
• In-depth experience with PDPM and CMI related to Medicare/Medicaid reimbursements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the development and accurate completion of the MDS per current RAI processes and regulations.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team and monitor clinical documentation for timely MDS scheduling.
• Partner with IDT to evaluate Quality Measures.
• Review completed MDS assessments for accuracy and coding consistency prior to locking.
