Job summary

Pathway Health is seeking an experienced MDS Director to lead the MDS team at a well-established not-for-profit skilled nursing facility in the Minneapolis, MN area. The Director will ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and provide leadership to the clinical team in coordinating MDS submissions and RAI processes.

Ideal candidate holds a Minnesota RN license with 3–5 years of related experience, strong clinical and leadership skills, and a deep understanding of insurance coverage,

Qualifications

• MN Registered Nurse license required.
• 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Nursing standards of Practice and State/Federal regulations.
• Excellent clinical, leadership, communication, technical and customer service skills.
• Extensive knowledge of Insurance coverage and contracts; documentation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and audit MDS submissions and reimbursement for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in MDS processes and track RUG scores for appropriate resident care.
• Supervise and direct the MDS Coordinators in the community.
• Coordinate and manage the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal MDS transmission requirements.
• Identify problems, collaborate with staff, implement actions, and evaluate outcomes.
