Job summary

Genesis is hiring a Registered Nurse to ensure proper reimbursement for patient care services in a long-term care setting. You will participate in MDS and CAAs, help build individualized care plans, and coordinate RAI processes with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires an active RN license, prior healthcare experience, and familiarity with MDS/Care Plans. You will contribute to staff education and stay updated on PPS regulations while supporting residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed by the state with good standing.
• Experience in hospital, long-term facility, or healthcare setting required.
• Experience completing MDSs and Care Plans preferred.
• Knowledge of long-term care laws, regulations, and guidelines helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate reimbursement for patient care services.
• Participate in Patient Assessment Process via MDS and CAAs.
• Assist in development of individualized patient care plans and outcomes.
• Contribute to RAI process and electronic MDS transmission.
• Identify condition changes with interdisciplinary team and coordinate assessments.
• Assist with ADL training for new hires and ongoing staff education.
• Maintain knowledge of current RAI/ PPS regulations.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will play a key role in meeting our business objectives by ensuring the appropriate reimbursement for patient care services.
• You will participate in the Patient Assessment Process through completion of items on the MDS and the accompanying Care Area Assessments (CAAs).
• Assist in the development individualized patient care plans, identify patient needs and projected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.
• Contribute to the nursing center interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process while following RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding and electronic transmission of the MDS.
• Identify changes in patient condition in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate scheduling and completion of indicated assessments.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and through ongoing continuing education to existing staff.
• Attend educational programs to maintain knowledge with current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed by the state and in good standing.
• Previous experience in a hospital, long-term facility, or other healthcare related facility is required.
• Prior experience completing MDSs and Care Plans is required
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
