Genesiscareers is seeking a Registered Nurse to support MDS/RAI related processes in an Everett, WA facility. The role focuses on accurate patient assessments, care planning, and reimbursement workflows within a long-term care setting.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, and participate in ongoing staff education and training on MDS/RAI procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed by the state and in good standing.
• Experience in hospital, long-term facility, or healthcare facility is required.
• Prior experience completing MDSs and Care Plans is required.
• Knowledge of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices and LTC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring appropriate reimbursement for patient care services.
• Participate in the Patient Assessment Process via MDS and CAAs.
• Identify changes in patient condition and coordinate assessments with the interdisciplinary team.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and ongoing staff education.
• Attend educational programs to stay current with RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key role in meeting business objectives by ensuring the appropriate reimbursement for patient care services. You will participate in the Patient Assessment Process through completion of items on the MDS and the accompanying Care Area Assessments (CAAs).

• Assist in the development individualized patient care plans, identify patient needs and projected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.
• Contribute to the nursing center interdisciplinary Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process while following RAI guidelines for completion, computer encoding and electronic transmission of the MDS.
• Identify changes in patient condition in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team and coordinate scheduling and completion of indicated assessments.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living training for new hires and through ongoing continuing education to existing staff.
• Attend educational programs to maintain knowledge with current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
