Job summary

Calvert County Nursing Center is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to ensure accurate MDS processing for residents and to support regulatory compliance. The role requires promoting strong customer service for residents, families and team members, while maintaining organization and attendance excellence.

You will monitor Medicare criteria, CMS schedules, and Medicaid reimbursement factors, and lead with integrity and teamwork to ensure timely submissions and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state nursing license.
• Experience in a clinical and healthcare setting.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Demonstrable knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Superb decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MDS 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Complete and assure the accuracy of the MDS process for all residents.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare criteria and communicate regulatory changes to staff.
• Monitor Case Mix Index (CMI) and potential reimbursement implications.
• Monitor Medicare assessment schedules and nursing documentation for accuracy and timely submission.
