Qualifications

• Current RN licensure required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Familiarity with EMR and health information management systems.
• Understanding of managed care principles in a clinical environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication in a team setting.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Clinical experience in a clinic or healthcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive MDS assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather clinical information for MDS completion.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Review and improve clinical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze data related to patient outcomes and quality measures to support managed care initiatives.
• Provide education and training to staff on MDS processes and documentation standards.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations related to health information management and clinical practices.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to MDS assessments.
