Regency Oaks is hiring a qualified PT MDS Coordinator to join our team!

Location: Clearwater, FL 33759

Approx 8-10 hours per week

Rate: $30-$35/hour

GENERAL SUMMARY

The MDS Coordinator is an RN/LPN who is responsible for the overall coordination, maintenance, and timely completion of the MDS, care plans, and medical records for residents.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES

• Coordinates, conducts, and completes the MDS, resident care plans, and conferences on the computerized system.
• Assures accuracy and completeness of the entire medical record.
• Assures and monitors that MDSs are completed within HCFA and Medicare guidelines.
• Ensures MDS electronic submission occurs per State regulations.
• Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to medical record documentation.
• Assists DON in developing and implementing medical records policies and procedures.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current RN/LPN in Florida. Current CPR/BLS certification. In-depth experience and knowledge working with MDS computer software. Experience with the MDS transmittal process and understanding of regulations impacting the MDS.
