Job description

Hope For Youth is seeking a Licensed Therapist, who will utilize the Multidimensional Family Therapist (MDFT) model. MDFT training is provided. The Therapist will work in our Court Programs, based in Suffolk County, and will require frequent home visits to clients.

How you will generally spend your time in this job:

1. 65% Direct client therapeutic contact including transportation
2. 20% Case documentation, reports, case-related meetings
3. 15% Staff meetings/supervision/training

To qualify for this job you need to have:

• LMSW/LCSW/LMHC/LMFT
• 1 year experience working with children or adolescents
• A Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing
• Computer knowledge and ability to use electronic records
• Access to a reliable vehicle for client visits and transports
• Excellent writing skills and time management
• Ability to be flexible with scheduling (work evenings and possible weekends if necessary)
• Responding to all calls/emergencies via agency-provided mobile phone and/or via internet technologies

Physical Requirements: Read/write reports and log entries, walking/standing for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, kneeling/squatting, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, repetitive wrist/finger movements, driving own vehicle.

This Opportunity is being offered as Full-Time, 35hrs/week.
