Job summary

MELE Associates, Inc. seeks a full-time CBRN equipment support specialist to back DHS MDDU in Novato, CA. The role covers detection of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats nationwide and maintaining readiness of CBRN equipment.

The position is contract award dependent and requires travel 50-75% across the contiguous US. Responsibilities include field-level repairs, safe handling of radioactive sources, and coordinating deployments with federal, state, and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience with CBRN detection (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear) in DHS/SEAR/NSSE contexts.
• Ability to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance and DHS suitability.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a truck with 5th wheel.

Responsibilities

• Track and maintain care, custody, and control of MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
• Conduct inventories and update tracking information.
• Ensure equipment is repaired, calibrated, and ready for deployment 24/7/365.
