Job summary

MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking a full‑time CBRN technical equipment support role to back DHS MDDU operations in Mobile, AL. You will keep detection gear, radioactive sources, and support equipment in ready condition for nationwide deployments and events, coordinating with DHS and law enforcement partners.

The position emphasizes field repairs, safety handling of radioactive materials, and active travel, with an expectation of strong reporting and training activity within the team.

Qualifications

Experience in chemical, biological, radiological and/or nuclear detection.
Ability to operate and maintain CBRN detection equipment.
Experience with field operations and trainings at events or deployments.

Responsibilities

Track and manage custody of MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
Maintain inventories and update tracking information.
Ensure equipment is repaired, calibrated and ready for deployment 24/7.
Perform safe handling and transport of radioactive sources per regulations.
Coordinate deployments and report on mission progress.
Provide training and knowledge sharing within the team.
Prepare after-action and status reports as required.
