Position

Woodmill Operator 2 – 1st shift (Mon‑Fri, 6:00 am‑2:30 pm)

Location: McClure, PA 17841, USA

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more circular saws to cut rough green dowels to specified lengths, including blade changes and maintenance.
• Examine material to remove defects, maximize footage, and meet production goals.
• Adjust and secure saw table components, bolts, handwheels, and levers to control cuts.
• Verify dimensions and accuracy of cuts.
• Paint line operator tasks: hang and remove wheelbarrow handles, pack for shipment, and perform quality inspection of handles while banding.
• Palletize dowels by length, place in layers, insert steam sticks, attach identity cards, and conduct quality control during stacking.
• Assist inspector duties: inspect, grade, measure lumber, rack by length and pallet count, and tag pallets correctly.

Requirements

Environmental / Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, lift up to 50 lb (occasionally up to 100 lb with assistance), reach, bend, kneel, cough, crawl, and perform fine work. Exposure to weather, mechanical parts, vibration, wet conditions, fumes, chemicals, electrical shock, and moderate‑to‑loud noise.
