Job summary

SimTech, Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) at a mid-level to support the design, development, and integration of RF Scene Generator systems using model-based methodologies.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of systems engineering experience, strong MBSE skills with SysML/UML, and hands-on tool experience (Cameo, MagicDraw, DOORS, JIRA) to drive requirements, verification, and traceability across the lifecycle in a DoD-focused environment.

Qualifications

• MBSE experience required (SysML/UML)
• 4–7 years of systems engineering experience
• Hands-on MBSE tool experience (Cameo, MagicDraw)
• Familiarity with DoD programs and digital engineering
• Experience with DoDAF/UAF architectures and INCOSE standards
• U.S. Citizenship with active security clearance preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies (SysML, UML)
• Support system architecture development, requirements decomposition, and traceability
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and test engineering for integration
• Perform trade studies to support design decisions
• Maintain digital engineering artifacts per program requirements
• Support V&V activities through model-based approaches
• Assist in configuration management and change control of models
• Contribute to program reviews and customer briefings
• Ensure compliance with DoD standards and digital engineering strategies
