Job summary

Leidos Inc in Orlando, FL is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineer to join the Digital Infrastructure Network Manager program, supporting the DoD. The role involves managing MBSE models, architecture concepts, and cross-functional teams across sites in Orlando, Dayton, or Northern Virginia.

The candidate will work with stakeholders to oversee program execution, ensure alignment with strategic objectives, and develop MBSE-based architectures while leveraging Cameo, SysML, and agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Must possess a minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Demonstrable knowledge in Systems Engineering modeling tools (e.g. DOORS and Cameo)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex DoD systems.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
• Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
• Familiarity with Cloud and Edge Computing, Networks, Tactical Communications, Data Management, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, and C4ISR systems integration.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain MBSE projects in Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Responsible for the development of MBSE-based SysML models, diagrams, and simulations.
• Support a System of Systems digital engineering approach to iterate through architecture concepts and design.
• Collaborating with multiple contractors and integrating Cameo model inputs into source models.
• Developing baseline architecture model of existing systems and capturing configuration of network.
• Facilitate technical and programmatic information exchange in support of program objectives.
• Participate in Working Groups and IPTs, informal and formal technical interchanges, and formal reviews.
• Develop technical roadmaps; establish and maintain reference architectures.
• Document interfaces and standards.
