Job summary

Leidos Defense seeks a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join a matrixed team of systems, MBSE and specialty engineers. Use Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML to develop requirements, architecture content and behavior models. This role supports multiple programs in a dynamic, mission-driven environment in Huntsville, AL.

The ideal candidate has MBSE experience, strong communication skills, and a security clearance. Preference for MS in System Engineering and DoD program exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited university with 3+ years of experience or MS with 1+ year.
• Experience using MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler and/or other MBSE modeling tools.
• Experience deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Capable of working in a collaborative engineering environment and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements specifications, system architecture content (bdd/ibd), and system behavioral content (act/stm) using MBSE.
• Support a cruise missile development effort within a matrixed organization across multiple programs.
• Communicate effectively with non-Systems Engineering stakeholders and potentially lead teams.
