Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Land Systems is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer to join a radar development team in Huntsville. You will create MBSE artifacts using SysML and Cameo, define system architecture and interfaces, and verify requirements while helping to develop test schemes.

You may present these artifacts in design reviews and liaise with customers for MBSE content; independence is valued, with oversight when needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software/CS, or related field with 6+ years of experience or MS with 4+ years.
Experience using MBSE tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, or similar.
Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong communication within a team environment.
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville area.
Possess a secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Develop MBSE artifacts in a Model-Based Systems Engineering environment (SysML/Cameo).
Model system behavior and define architecture and interfaces.
Verify requirements and help develop test schemes.
Present artifacts at design reviews and serve as customer liaison for MBSE content.
Work independently with MBSE tasks derived from customer needs; oversight provided as needed.
