Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Roy, Utah is hiring a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer (Digital Engineering Technical Lead) to drive MBSE and engineering execution on the Sentinel program.

You will collaborate with lead engineers, the Chief Engineer, and product teams to evolve model-based practices and deliver technical solutions. You will engage with customers and senior leadership to capture requirements, mentor teams, and represent the DE SEIT in governance boards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in STEM with 14+ years of related experience, or M.S./Ph.D. with appropriate years.
• U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance or ability to obtain SAP approval.
• 5 years of systems engineering across the program lifecycle.
• 5 years MBSE experience leading teams.
• 2 years of conflict management and negotiation experience.
• 5 years of leading technical teams and making tough decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as main technical lead within the DE SEIT.
• Drive engineering execution and MBSE practices with product teams.
• Collaborate with engineers to drive product definition and sign-off.
• Engage customers and senior leadership to solicit requirements.
• Represent the DE SEIT for Digital Engineering Review Board (DERB).
