Job summary

The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business seeks an experienced Career Services professional to join as a Practice Group Coordinator for the consulting practice, supporting MBA students toward successful internships and full-time roles.

The role partners with the Practice Group Leader to develop strategy, advises on resumes, interviews, and casing, and coordinates employer events to expand the consulting portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of full-time relevant experience in Career Services or related industry.
• Knowledge of the consulting recruiting landscape and process.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Practice Group Leader in developing a strategy to support the professional success of MBA students pursuing the consulting practice area.
• Conduct one-on-one and group career advising with MBA students including resume and cover letter review, interview prep, and case practice; hire, train, and supervise peer advisors.
• Plan and execute a variety of employer-facing events to connect MBA students with opportunities and grow the consulting employer portfolio year over year.
• Liaise with employers, alumni, executives, and internal partners across USC Marshall Career Services and the business school to strengthen partnerships.
• Monitor internship and full-time outcomes and drive continual solutions to maximize career outcomes for MBA students.
• Support marketing initiatives for employer events, career services training, mentorship programs, and student engagement strategies.

Education

Bachelor's degree

MBA or Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Career Counseling, or related discipline
