Nearby.ai is seeking an MBA-level Business Development & Strategy Intern to own a merchant-acquisition initiative end-to-end—from market research and territory selection, through self-sourced outreach and negotiation, to data-driven analysis and a final recommendation to leadership.

This is not a support role: you'll be measured on real business outcomes — partners signed, pipeline built, and insight generated — not just activity.

Qualifications

• MBA candidate with consulting, sales, BD, or startup exposure preferred.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, plus written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage end-to-end programs.

Responsibilities

• Market and territory research to map the local service-provider landscape.
• Self-sourced outreach and pipeline development with direct outreach.
• Analyze metrics and build a simple business case for partnerships.
• Draft outreach scripts and partnership proposals; lead onboarding to close.
• Weekly reporting on outreach metrics and a final go-forward strategy.
