Job summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Architect to lead enterprise platform technologies including IBM Maximo MAS, OpenShift, Oracle, and related services.

The role defines platform architecture, standards, roadmaps, and environment strategies, while driving modernization and resiliency. You will partner with platform support, cybersecurity, and vendors to enable automation, observability, and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in enterprise platform support or architecture.
• 8+ years supporting enterprise apps in 24/7 production environments.
• Experience with IBM Maximo (Maximo 7.x and MAS 9.x)
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift and containerized platforms
• Experience with Oracle databases and Exadata
• Experience with Linux and Windows enterprise servers
• Experience with data center migrations, cloud transitions, and modernization
• Experience supporting cybersecurity remediation and audits
• Familiarity with Jira, Remedy, Change Management, and Agile methods

Responsibilities

• Partner with Infrastructure Architect and Analysts.
• AI & Knowledge Engineering: automate platform administration and diagnostics.
• Platform Architecture, Strategy, Governance: establish standards, roadmaps, and reviews for OpenShift MAS.
• Platform Lifecycle Management: upgrades, DR planning, vendor compatibility.
• Operational Excellence: lead major production issues and improve monitoring.
• Vendor & Internal Consultation across multiple technical disciplines.
