Job summary

Southern Company Services is seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Architect within the Maximo Center of Excellence to provide technical leadership for MAS, OpenShift, Oracle and related services. You will define platform architecture, environment strategy, and governance, drive modernization and resiliency, and collaborate with Platform Support, cybersecurity, and vendors.

The role requires extensive experience in enterprise IT, OpenShift, IBM Maximo MAS, Oracle, Linux/Windows and strong

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related discipline.
8+ years in enterprise platforms, infrastructure or architectural leadership.
6+ years supporting highly available 24/7 production apps.
Experience with IBM Maximo (7.x and MAS 9.x).
OpenShift/containerized platforms experience.
Oracle databases/Exadata experience.
Linux and Windows enterprise servers.
Data center migrations/cloud modernization experience.
Cybersecurity remediation/audit exposure.
Familiarity with Jira, Remedy, Change Management, Agile.

Responsibilities

Partner with Infrastructure Architect and a team of Infrastructure Analysts.
AI & Knowledge Engineering: evaluate AI-enabled capabilities to automate platform administration and diagnostics.
Platform Architecture, Strategy, and Governance: establish standards, roadmaps, environment strategies, and governance.
Platform Lifecycle Management: lead upgrades, version control, DR exercises for business continuity.
Operational Excellence: provide senior leadership for major production issues and outages.
Vendor & Internal Consultation: collaborate with vendors and internal teams as a senior technical counterpart.
