Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Makena Golf & Beach Club in Maui, HI, is seeking a Club Server (Casual) to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. You will deliver exceptional service, knowledge of the menu, and accurate order handling to members and guests.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, recommending items, maintaining cleanliness, operating the POS system, and adhering to safety standards while supporting a high-end dining experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of serving experience in a full-service environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; ability to obtain State Food Safety Certificate.
• Knowledge of wines and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service and communication with members and guests and team members.
• Greet guests and members politely, anticipate needs, and ensure timely, accurate orders.
• Present extensive knowledge of all menu items and make recommendations based on preferences or allergies.
• Enter transactions into the POS system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely and according to policies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and adhere to food safety standards.
