Specifically, this position is needed to teach one or both of the following courses during the Spring 2027 semester:Elementary Functions and Graphs — a pre-calculus course that includes trigonometry — scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 3:00 - 4:15 pm;Finite Mathematics — a course that introduces quantitative topics that are beneficial to liberal arts students, including the mathematics of finance, introductory statistics, and elementary probability — scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 - 4:15 pm.The adjunct will develop course materials including a syllabus, homework assignments, and content for the Course Management System (CMS). They will evaluate and grade students’ class work, online work, assignments, and examinations and hold a minimum of two regularly-scheduled office hours per week throughout the semester. They must maintain and submit student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation by specified deadlines, as well as prepare and maintain course materials within the Salem College CMS and communicate with enrolled students through a Salem email account.
