Specifically, this position is needed to teach the lecture portion of Principles of Biology, an introductory course in biology for non-majors, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00-9:20 am for the Fall 2026 Semester.In consultation with the Biology Laboratory Coordinator, who will teach the lab component of the course, the adjunct instructor will develop course materials, including a syllabus, homework assignments, and content for the Course Management System (CMS). They will evaluate and grade students’ class work, online work, assignments, and examinations and hold a minimum of two regularly-scheduled office hours per week throughout the semester.They must maintain and submit student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation by specified deadlines, as well as prepare and maintain course materials within the Salem College CMS for each course taught and communicate with enrolled students and the Laboratory Coordinator through a Salem email account.
