Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or related discipline with at least 18 graduate-level course hours in mathematics or related discipline.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
  • Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches one or two courses in the Mathematics program.
  • Prepares and delivers in-person learning activities to achieve course outcomes.
  • Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and CMS content.
  • Evaluates and grades students’ classwork, online work, assignments, and examinations.
  • Holds a minimum of two regularly-scheduled office hours per week across the semester.
  • Maintains and submits attendance records, grades and other required documentation by deadlines.
  • Prepares and maintains course materials on the Salem College CMS.
  • Communicates with enrolled students through the Salem email account.
  • Participates in periodic meetings with Mathematics program faculty.
