Job summary

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking math tutors for after-school and summer programs in Federal Way, WA. You will lead instruction in groups of up to three students using pre-planned lessons, and help students build confidence and a love for learning.

Role offers flexible part-time hours, paid training, and strong staff support in a positive teaching environment. Teaching credentials or a math degree are preferred, with prior teaching experience valued.

Qualifications

• Teaching credentials preferred or four year degree in math or related field.
• Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Knowledge of general office equipment is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction for small groups (up to 3 students) using pre-planned lessons.
• Motivate students to be successful and build academic confidence.
• Work with flexible part-time hours around availability.
