Job summary

Mathnasium is seeking a part-time math tutor to work at our Mathnasium Center in Tacoma. You will teach math to students from kindergarten through high school, using our Mathnasium Method curriculum and engaging instructional approaches.

Ideal candidates have strong math skills, enjoy working with students, and are motivated to learn and grow with ongoing training and development opportunities. Flexible scheduling fits school commitments and other responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong math proficiency through calculus.
• Passion for math and working with students.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and be trained.
• High motivation, commitment, patience, and enthusiasm.
• Classroom and/or one-on-one mathematics teaching experience is a plus.
• Desire to work through the entire school year is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach math to students at various grade levels in the Mathnasium Center.
• Provide clear explanations and guided practice to reinforce concepts.
• Participate in ongoing training and use the Mathnasium Method™ curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.
