Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates is seeking Math Teachers for the 2027-2028 school year at independent schools in the Philadelphia area. Ideal candidates hold a math-related degree and experience delivering engaging lessons across middle and high school levels.

Responsibilities include developing curricula, employing varied instructional methods, assessing student progress, and providing extra support during office hours. Private/independent school setting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Math Education, or related field.
• Prior experience teaching math at middle or high school level; private/independent school preferred.
• Experience designing and delivering hands-on experiments.
• AP Math or IB Math experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of math concepts and problem-solving.
• Ability to assess diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources.
• Ability to integrate technology into math instruction (simulations, multimedia).

• In-depth understanding of math principles, theories, and concepts.
• Skills in assessing and addressing diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools, learning management systems, and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into math instruction, such as through simulations and multimedia presentations.
