Job summary

AoPS Academy in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Math Teaching Assistant to support instructors with the curriculum, assist students one-on-one, and help manage a class of up to 16 students. You will aid with grading and provide constructive feedback to reinforce learning.

The role emphasizes clear communication, organization, and a passion for helping students excel in math through engaging, supportive instruction in after-school hours and weekend sessions.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Ability to help students navigate advanced math concepts.
• Experience with younger students is preferred.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication.
• Positive, encouraging attitude and organized.
• Familiarity with AoPS curriculum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction with curriculum and materials for advanced students.
• Work one-on-one with students during class activities and provide help.
