Job summary

AoPS Academy is seeking a Part-Time Math Instructor for after-school and weekend classes at our Saratoga, CA campus. You will lead small groups using a company-created curriculum designed for advanced students, and foster active, student-led learning.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree (STEM or education preferred), strong math knowledge, and experience teaching or tutoring. Must be able to commute to the Saratoga campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM-related or educational field strongly preferred.
• Strong content knowledge in math.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Engaging Curriculum using AoPS materials for advanced students.
• Engage students and promote student-led learning.
• Manage classrooms of up to 16 students.
• Grade tests and provide feedback.
• Build relationships with students and families to support learning.
• Inspire love for math and critical thinking.

Skills

Strong content knowledge in math

Experience teaching or tutoring

Education

Bachelor's degree required
