Job summary

Ypsilanti Community Schools is seeking a Secondary Instructional Coach in the District-Wide role to support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction aligned to Michigan Standards.

The coach will provide job-embedded professional development, observe teaching, and collaborate with leadership to implement School Improvement Plans, aiming to raise student achievement and support diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education and valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience.
• Prior coaching experience preferred and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to establish rapport with peers and students.
• Knowledge of Michigan Academic Standards and Common Core alignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in designing and implementing lesson plans aligned to Michigan standards.
• Provide job-embedded professional learning to improve instructional practices.
• Observe instruction and give actionable feedback to teachers.
• Collaborate with district leaders to implement school improvement plans.
• Build rapport with teachers, students, and the community.
