Job summary

Newington SD is seeking an experienced Instructional Coach for Martin Kellogg Middle School in Connecticut. The role focuses on supporting teachers, coordinating professional development, and aligning the instructional program with district goals to improve student outcomes.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, data analysis, and collaborative planning to elevate classroom practice and equity across the school. A CT certification in Mathematics or General Science is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience.
• Connecticut State Department of Education Certification required: 029 Mathematics, 7-12; OR 034 General Science, 7-12.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff to align the instructional program with district and school improvement efforts.
• Provide job-embedded and formal professional development for teachers and staff.
• Analyze student performance indicators to inform planning and decision-making.
• Support teachers to improve instructional practices and raise student achievement.
• Lead and coordinate professional development and curriculum planning with administrators.
