Job summary

Comal ISD Mountain Valley Middle School in Canyon Lake, TX is seeking a Math Interventionist (Title I) to support disadvantaged students through targeted mathematics interventions and progress monitoring.

The role requires a valid Texas teaching certificate; a master’s degree and ESL/Bilingual certification are preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with collaboration across teachers, administrators, and families.

Qualifications

• Expertise in mathematics curriculum, assessment, instructional delivery and staff development.
• Deep understanding of the scientific research base for instruction and extensive knowledge of mathematics program components and teaching experience within the field of mathematics.
• Knowledgeable about proven scientific based research strategies, appropriate use of assessment and intervention strategies for struggling students in the area of mathematics.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify student needs and monitor progress.
• Develop interventions to address math skills such as computation and fluency.
• Instructs students in a push-in setting to improve math success and assess concepts.
• Plan weekly math schedules with teachers to support EMI program goals.
• Prepare teaching materials and reports documenting student progress.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and district information.
