Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of 3 years post-secondary education or 90 hours in an education-related field.
• Knowledge of the learning process, primarily in math and reading instruction.
• CHRC required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Willingness to complete any required training or certification programs.
• Ability to work with diverse learners including students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group and individualized math instruction in classrooms or designated spaces.
• Support students in improving math comprehension and fluency aligned with classroom instruction.
• Reinforce and extend teacher-directed instruction through intervention activities.
• Assist students with math-based assignments and related tasks as directed.
• Implement intervention plans developed with classroom teachers and math specialists.
• Maintain organized records of student participation and progress.
• Monitor student engagement and behavior during intervention sessions.
• Support students in developing independent math learning strategies.
• Participate in relevant professional development related to math instruction.
