Capitol Region Education Council in Hartford seeks a Mathematics Instructional Coach to support secondary students in 6-12 settings, providing one-on-one coaching at job placements and developing work readiness and independence, aligned with individual goals.

The role collaborates with teachers, transition specialists, families, and local employers to create seamless career pathways, track progress with data, and promote inclusive employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years working with students with disabilities.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site coaching to students at job placements and develop work-related skills.
• Build relationships with local businesses to support student placements.
• Adapt coaching strategies to meet diverse student needs, including disabilities.
• Support transitions between work-based learning experiences.
• Communicate with teachers, transition coordinators, and families for cohesive support.
• Gather and analyze student performance data to inform coaching.
• Ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
