Job summary

KIPP Capital Region in Albany, NY seeks a Dean of Instruction (Specials) for high school (grades 9-12) to lead instructional coaching, drive academic outcomes, and support social-emotional learning across the grade level.

You will coach teachers in curriculum design, data analysis, and assessment practices, participate on the senior leadership team, and collaborate with campus leaders to improve instructional strategies for historically underperforming students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• Minimum of 2+ years as Lead Teacher with proven results.
• Minimum of 1+ years coaching teachers in academics and Culture & Climate.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional coaching to teachers to help each student reach academic potential.
• Support curriculum, assessments, and school instructional guidelines.
• Serve on the senior leadership team and oversee enabling systems for academic operations and teacher development.
• Analyze data to modify curriculum and assessments to meet student needs.
• Collaborate with campus leaders to implement instructional strategies and intervention programs.
