Qualifications

Must have at least five (5) years of approved teaching experience.
Hold New York State certification in Mathematics.
Thorough knowledge of the Next Generation Learning Standards.
Excellent organizational skills, leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in the use of technology is required.

Responsibilities

Teach AIS classes.
Provide targeted interventions by pulling small groups.
Assist teachers and administrators with district math programs.
Assist teachers with unpacking and understanding the Next Generation Learning Standards.
Co-teach and model lessons to support AIS.
Plan AIS lessons with effective structures; implement AIS stations.
Collaborate with teachers on best practices and instructional technology.
Design, plan and facilitate professional development on math curriculum and instruction.
Use valid and reliable assessments to guide instruction.
Review student data to determine interventions and program modifications.
Develop action plans and monitor implementation.
Intensively monitor math programs for students below grade level.
Coordinate Regents readiness systems, including diagnostics and tutoring.
Build teacher capacity through coaching and professional learning.
Support technology use (TI-Nspire, online resources).
Other duties as assigned by the building Principal.
