The North Bellmore School District seeks an Elementary Mathematics AIS Teacher on a per diem, part-time basis to support students in grades K-6. The role focuses on remediation, push-in and pull-out support to reinforce foundational math skills.

Responsibilities include collaborative planning with classroom teachers, using manipulatives, incorporating educational technology, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education is required or strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of New York State Next Generation Mathematics Learning Standards (K‑6) is essential.
• Experience with iReady and NWEA assessments is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Provide small-group math remediation instruction and/or classroom push-ins to elementary students.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to support units of study and bridge foundational math gaps.
• Incorporate manipulatives and technology to enhance learning in math instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs and maintain well-paced, rigorous lessons.
• Monitor student progress and communicate assessment results with teachers, staff, administrators and families.
• Deliver turn-key training on NYS Next Generation Math standards and best practices to staff.
