Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing by date of hire.
• Indiana RN license by date of hire.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications may be required depending on unit.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a written plan of care; modify as patient reassesses progress.
• Observe and document interventions; communicate plan via EMR and verbal reports.
• Provide care including IV starts, blood administration, phlebotomy, and point‑of‑care testing per CLIA requirements.
• Administer medications per orders and monitor for adverse effects.
• Transition patients and report current plan to incoming staff during rounds.
• Inform physicians and families of changes in condition; communicate clearly.
• Provide discharge education to patients and families.
• May precept new staff and oversee other team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
